Gas Rebate Credit Cards
Getting a credit card that pays you up to 5% back on all gas purchases sounds like a great deal. This can lower your cost of a gallon of gas from $3.50 to only $3.33 per gallon. That $0.17 may or may not make it worthwhile to get yet another credit card. And if the credit card has a high interest rate, then not paying the balance may cost you even more money than if you just paid for the gas with cash.

Some gasoline rebate credit cards and tell you about a rebate percentage, but then don't make it clear that the rebate percentage doesn't stay that high and may drop to only 1% or 2%. One way to get a better discount is to use gas rebate credit card to purchase a gift card where you buy your gas. Often you can get some discount on the gift card and that plue your credit card rebate can add up to more than even the best gas rebate cards anywhere. Some of the more well-known credit cards that offer a gas rebate are Chase PerfectCard MasterCard, Citibank Dividend Platinum Select, MBNA AAA credit card, and American Express Blue Cash card.
